This seems too good to be true. What's the catch with SquareAuction Auctions? |
You really can purchase products for a fraction of their normal retail price. However, you need to pay a small non-refundable Administration Fee per bid that you place. Note that you are not guaranteed to purchase the item on auction for the amount that you bid - only if your bid is last at the most repeated bid value will you be the winner of the auction.

What is the “auction status table”? |
“Auction status table” is a main auction table, so called “auction battlefield”, that reflects the current status of the auction. This table is constantly updated while auction is in progress. Every bid that users place at the auction is instantly entered into the “auction status table”. This table along with your own strategy and a powerful feature such as “special sort” can help you become a winner. The columns are as follows:
- Bid Amount – User will see actual bid amount only for bids that he has placed (even if he is not a current bid leader), all remaining bid amounts will be presented as “xx.xx”.
- Bid Leader – User name of a bidder who was the last to place a bid on this bid amount.
- Bid Count – Total number of times this bid was repeated by user(s). This column is revealed only to paid members.
- Bid Popularity – Index for bid amount popularity, “1” is for most popular bid amount. “Auction status table” is sorted by this column by default. |

What are the rules of the auctions? |
All auctions, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Premium, have the same set of rules:
- The winning bid amount is the "most popular” one, meaning the one that was placed the most number of times by user(s).
- The winner of the auction is the bidder who was the last to place a bid on the most “popular” (most often repeated) bid value.
- Each auction will be limited by a minimal number of bids to be placed by participants in order to close the auction and define a winner.
- Each auction can have only one winner.
- If there are two or more “most popular” bid amounts (bid amounts with the same highest bid count) and the minimum number of bids is reached the auction will remain open until there is one and only “most popular” bid amount. This is called a “Golden Bid Rule”, first user that will create the “most popular” bid amount will close the auction and will be defined as a winner.

| There are several different email addresses, except the registration confirmation, that can generate a message to your email account. Sometimes those messages may be placed to the "SPAM" folder. If the message is there all you need to do is to mark it as "not a spam", this will assure that all following email from this address will go to your Inbox folder. |

What and how much is the Administration Fee? |
| 19. |
What do I need to do in order to start bidding? |
| 20. |
How many Bids can I submit per auction? |
| Each user may submit as many bids per auction as he/she wishes, provided they have paid the Administration Fee for each bid and the Minimum Number of Bids for that given auction have not been reached. |
| 21. |
Someone has placed a bid on the amount that I've placed a couple of bids, what does it mean? |
| The only thing it means, that if this bid amount will be the most popular when auction closes and your opponent will be the last who placed it he will win. Don't let it happen, remember, you can always overbid him on the same amount as long as the auction is open. |
| 22. |
When will I be charged my Administration Fee? |
| Administration Fees are charged from your Available Squares Account balance immediately upon the submission of a bid. Bid amounts will only be charged to the winner upon the closing and validation of the auction for a given item. The winner will receive a link by email in order to pay the bid amount. Approval of this payment is our commitment to the winner. |
| 23. |
What are the cancellation terms and do I get refunded? |
| Participants are not permitted to cancel bids once they have been accepted. The Administration Fee is refunded only in case of an unsuccessful (canceled) auction. |
| 24. |
What is the “special sort” feature? |
| “Special sort” is a very helpful feature that gives you an opportunity to sort the current “auction status table” by “Bid Amount” column (default sort is by “Bid Popularity”). Bids that were placed after sort operation won’t be present in the sorted table. This feature, together with a good strategy, can help you become a winner for even less money. |
| 25. |
How to perform the “Special sort”? |
| All you need to do is to click on “Special Sort” tab in the auction view and then click the sort button. After this the “auction status table” will be sorted by “Bid Amount” field. Each time you perform a sort the result is stored for you. In order to switch between all sorts you have done at the auction and the current auction status, you have to choose the desired entry at the drop-down box right above the “auction status table”. |
| 26. |
Is the “special sort” a free feature? |
| 27. |
What is the “Autopilot” feature? |
| It is a fully automatic “fighter”. ”Autopilot” will help you maintain a leading position at all times, even when you are away or asleep. |
| 28. |
How does the “Autopilot” work? |
| The “Autopilot” monitors all (and only) bid values previously given by user at the auction. Each time new bid enters the auction “Autopilot” will analyze the situation and apply a bidding strategy which places a bid on one of the “revealed” bid values only if it results in user becoming a leader of the auction, therefore a leader of the ”most popular” bid. |
| 29. |
How to activate/deactivate the “Autopilot”? |
| The activation process is very simple. At the auction view select “Autopilot” tab enter the “Maximum Number of Bids” (the maximum number of bids you allow the Autopilot to place) and then click the “Activate” button. To deactivate the “Autopilot”, select “Autopilot” tab and click on “Cancel” button. |
| 30. |
When it is the best time to activate “Autopilot”? |
| Anytime. It doesn’t matter if you are a leader or not and even if you only placed a single bid. “Autopilot” will be waiting and if there is a chance to place you in the leading position with a single bid “Autopilot” will do it for you. |
| 31. |
Is the activation of “Autopilot” free? |
| 32. |
What happens to my “Squares” after “Autopilot” activation/deactivation? |
| After “Autopilot” activation, the amount of “Squares” (which equals to “Maximum Bids Limit” times auction administration fee) is moved from user’s “Available Squares Balance” to user’s “Reserved Squares Balance”. Each time “Autopilot” places a bid an administration fee is deducted from “Reserved Squares Balance”. If user deactivates the “Autopilot” before it has used all allowed number of bids the amount of Squares that equals to “Bids left” auction administration fee is credited back to user’s “Available Squares Balance”. |
| 33. |
Why is it worth to be a paid member? |
Becoming a paid member will give you a number of valuable benefits:

- The “Bid value” field of the auction status table that represents the exact number of times the bid was repeated is visible only to paid members.
- Opportunity to participate for free in the Premium auctions by receiving free Premium bids. This means that winners of these auctions receive the auction item for free.
- An option to sell back the item that a paid member has won (according to Membership program). |
| 34. |
When can I become a paid member with SquareAuction? |
| 35. |

| 36. |
